Found nestled up in the breezy Clwydian range of North Wales, away from any large towns and cities, Striker Sport Horses is a large equestrian facility that has been many things over the centuries. Beginning as a country escape for an 18th Century middle class family who fell in love with the rough landscape and freedom of riding, it originally housed twenty horses that ranged from dainty ponies to large warmblood types. Later in the century it became a farm, housing animals from all walks of life, and remained the same until recently when the Striker family took ownership and restored it to it's original purpose.
Much of the original structure is still present throughout the property, though slate roofs and cracked stone walls have since been replaced. The current barn and house are part of the original structure, still standing proud today. The newest owner of the property is family man Jack Striker, who has poured time into restoring the competitive nature of the stable, he and his small, young family have big plans for Striker Sports' future, and hope to leave their mark in the ever changing world of equestrian sports. |
